The Can Bonastre winery: the art of making wine.

The Can Bonastre winery is the seed of the whole project, the origin with which the Vallès family of farming tradition began its winemaking venture in the 1980s. The estate where it is located dates back to the 16th century and, according to documents from the early 20th century, its history has always been strongly linked to farming the land, and to the chapel of Santa Magdalena, formerly located adjoining the masía which today houses the winery, the offices and the hotel.

The winery is therefore the part of the project that represents the past —the history, the tradition and the origins of Can Bonastre. It is where the fine crafting of wine takes place.

The first vintages saw the light in 1996. From the beginning, the work focused on controlling the whole production process from the vineyard to the winery. The winery has its own vineyards sprinkled throughout the estate, planted with 13 different varieties of grapes used to make all its wines.

These varieties include white grapes (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Macabeo, Xarel.lo, Garnacha Blanca and Riesling) and red grapes (Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Garnacha Tinta and Syrah).
During the vinification process at Can Bonastre traditional viticultural methods and the latest technological advances intermingle in perfect symbiosis.

One of the winery’s priorities is to optimise production while maintaining the utmost respect for the environment. Therefore, conservation farming techniques are employed to facilitate water absorption and reduce soil and subsoil erosion.

The Can Bonastre wines are small jewels created to suit consumer tastes. These are wines with a marked Mediterranean character, made to enjoy with food. They are friendly, fruity, easy-to-drink wines.


LA BOTIGA: enjoy a relaxing atmosphere
The Can Bonastre shop is a space where you can acquire select products, including the wines and a choice of oils. You can also spend some leisure time there, with friends and business contacts in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere.

The cellar of the shop is visible from the interior. It holds a sampling of the earthenware vats that used to store grain and wine. On the wall, a lovely mural tells the history of the estate from its origins until today.

Inside, you can enjoy the peacefulness of informal aperitifs, small meetings or tasting sessions. The beautiful views of the Montserrat Massif are not to be missed; an undeniable luxury.
